FYI:  I'll be shipping all books on July 22, 2008.  If you are one of the people whose data has been lost, I'll be sending you a signature only book (not personalized) to the shipping address on the PayPal order.  It may not be exactly what you ordered, but at least you'll have something to read! <g>  I'll include instructions in those packages on how you can send the book back to me (after you read it!)  in exchange for a personalized book.  

One more note:    Please remember that I'll be shipping all signed books ON July 22, 2008.  

7/14/08:  Firefox has defeated us!  Okay.  We're not completely certain Firefox is to blame, but we've had a 25% failure rate on our Virtual Signing ordering info form this time around.  We suspect Firefox is incompatible with Microsoft FrontPage -- which is the program we use to keep track of the hundreds of readers who order signed books.  

Remember all that time I was going to save by not doing the countdown to INTO THE FIRE?  Well, I spent it chasing data from over 150 readers.  <sigh>  I love you guys, but, heck.  

(INTO THE FIRE... INTO THE FIREFOX CHARLIE-FOXTROT...  Grrrr.)

Anyway, I made a command decision today to shut down the PayPal side of the INTO THE FIRE Virtual Signing on Friday, July 18th, at noon. ET.  So if you're going to order a signed book through PayPal, do it fast.  

And you can defeat the Firefox-Hell-Demons by sending me backup data.  When you get to step two of the process (step one is buying the book via PayPal), copy the data form and paste it into an email, and send it to me at SuzanneBrockmann@aol.com.  Instructions for this backup process are there on the Step Two page.  AND... if you order the book through paypal and don't find yourself on our Step Two page, then send an email to me at SuzanneBrockmann@aol.com, with your name and address, whether or not you want the book personalized and to whom, and the email address you used when you purchased the book on PayPal.

4/26/08:  I've finally added the cover blurb for the 13th installment in my Troubleshooters series, INTO THE FIRE, to my home page, updated my FAQ page and my appearances page  (About time!)  My excuse is that I've been writing, writing, writing!  

I've got another exclusive short story and writing workshop (Tall, Dark & Believable:  Writing compelling romance heroes) coming out in my FREE Into the Fire Extras booklet, which will be available at the Romance Writers National Conference in San Francisco in July, through my virtual signing for Into the Fire, and via an internet PDF download.

I'm on the verge of starting to write Troubleshooters book number 14, working title Dark of Night.  This book is something a little different for me -- it's more closely connected to the previous book in the series, Into the Fire -- in fact, the action in Dark of Night begins on the very day that Into the Fire ends.  I'm going to be writing that book over the summer (I won't be doing any touring for Into the Fire  so that I can use the time to write), and we hope Dark of Night will have a February 2009 release date.  (Stay tuned for updates!)

The other big news is that my plan is to have a second release in 2009.  An as yet unnamed sixteenth installment in my Troubleshooters series will feature reader favorites Sam & Alyssa -- and the return of a certain serial killer known as "the Dentist" that Alyssa has been after for years.  We're all hoping that this book will have an August 09 release.  (Again, watch my website for updates!)

3/3/08:  I've updated my appearances page and my home page!  

The reissue of FREEDOM'S PRICE is in bookstores!

I've finished writing the first draft of INTO THE FIRE, the next Troubleshooters installment, due out on July 29, 2008!  (Cover art and the blurb for the book will be coming soon!)

Yeah, I know you didn't ask, but...  We're approaching what I believe is The Most Important Ever election in U.S. history, the primaries in Ohio, Texas, Vermont and Rhode Island are fast approaching, and I just... can't... not... comment.  (Please read the end of the previous sentence with your best William Shatner as Captain Kirk impression.)  I know most readers don't come to an author's website to have said author's political opinion shoved down their collective throats, so I'm putting the link to My Political Opinion (or why I'm going door to door, canvassing in Rhode Island for Barack Obama) here, on my What's New page.  If you're curious and interested, please click on the link.  If you'd prefer to keep politics out of your reading entertainment, (and you have every right to do so) please don't click on the link.  

My husband, Ed Gaffney's latest book ENEMY COMBATANT is also in bookstores!!!
