U.S. readers can still order a signed book through snail mail.
We've extended our deadline for this -- as of now, snail mail orders must be postmarked by July 22, 2008!Please note: On Friday night, July 18th, I will be sending out an email from SuzanneBrockmann@aol.com to the remaining 20-odd people who have not yet responded to earlier emails about the computer glitch. (I've sent as many as three emails to some of you!) Since the only data we have available to us is from PayPal, please check the email account that you use for PayPal -- and check your SPAM folder! -- to see if you have received an email from me at the email address above. (Note: Everyone has received an email receipt from PayPal. You only need to respond if you've received an email that has come from me at SuzanneBrockmann@aol.com, okay? Most of the orders are fine (we received many hundreds), and many of the lost-data people have already responded to my earlier emails.)
Sorry about having to shut down a little early, gang! We'll get this glitch worked out for the next book! (She said hopefully.)
If you've come here asking, "Hey! Where's my book?" Your question is, hopefully, answered below:
All books WILL BE shipped on July 22, 2008. Guaranteed. (Okay, except for the snail mail orders postmarked July 22nd. That would be impossible. I'm still working on building that time machine. But absolutely everything else will be sent on July 22.)
If you paid for media mail shipping, please allow 5 - 10 business days, after July 22nd, for your book to arrive.
If you paid for priority shipping, please allow 2 - 3 business days, after July 22, for your book to arrive.
If you paid for international shipping, please allow reasonable time for delivery. (It really does vary. Sorry to have to be so vague...)
If you paid for overnight shipping, you will get your book by July 23rd, come hell or high water! (Please email me at SuzanneBrockmann@aol.com at end of business on July 23rd if your overnight book hasn't arrived. We'll be able to track your overnight package -- to see if it has made a side trip to DisneyWorld. (That's so like Izzy...) Bottom line is this: Overnight means overnight, and if your book doesn't arrive on the 23rd, the post office will reimburse the cost of postage to us -- and we'll, in turn, reimburse you!)
If you are one of the people whose data has been lost, I'll be sending you a book with my signature only (not personalized) to the shipping address on your PayPal order. It may not be exactly what you ordered, but at least you'll have something to read! <g> I'll include instructions in those packages on how you can send the book back to me (after you read it!) in exchange for a personalized book.
If you've waited the allotted time after July 22nd for your book to arrive and you still have no book, please email me at SuzanneBrockmann@aol.com and include the following information to help us identify you: The email address you used to place your PayPal order, the number of the order on your PayPal receipt, the name and address to whom the book was to be sent, and whether or not you wanted it personalized or just signed by the author (me!), and type of shipping you selected (media, priority or international).
Please note that I'll be out of my office at RWA in San Francisco from July 29th through August 6th, but will respond as quickly as possible to assure that you are satisfied!
